The Amur University dates back to 1975, it was originally founded as Blagoveshchensk Technological Institute. And at that instance, it was the first institute of light industry in the far east. In 1992 Blagoveshchensk Technological Institute was renamed Blagoveshchensk Polytechnic Institute. Two years later the Polytechnic Institute developed into a full-fledged multidisciplinary university – the Amur State University. The quality education is offered by 9 amazing departments and the university offers 71 academic programs. According to Innovative Russia, Electrical Power Engineering, Applied Mathematics and Computer Science are acknowledged as the best of all the programs offered. The University offer students the well-developed local infrastructure of the AmSU (Amur State University) campus that embraces eight academic buildings, dormitories, libraries, experimental labs, own sports complexes, a swimming pool, several dining places, and a cafe. Amur State Medical Academy was established on June 26, 1952, by order of the Council of Ministers, as Blagoveshchensk State Medical Institute. In 1996 Blagoveshchensk State Medical Institute was converted into Amur State Medical Academy and admitted to the list of medical schools of Europe, which allows the University to unify the training of doctors with European standards.

• Step2: Fill in an Online Application on AmSU web site:-
  • Attach a copy of the first page of your international passport and ID photo 3x4 in color and of a good quality.
  • The passport should be valid for at least 18 months after the prospective starting date of your studies.
  • Attach a copy of your education or degree certificate.
  • In case the documents are not in Russian, you have to submit their notarized translation into the Russian language.
  • During filling in your Application Form, do not forget to notice your nearest Russian Embassy. It is important, because you will receive your visa at the Embassy indicated in your Application form.
• Step3: Pass Entrance Exams:- Prepare yourself well for the exams which are conducted in online mode for the entrance and pass it.
• Step4: Contract and Payment:- After passing the entrance tests, the university will send you Study Contract with terms and conditions. Please, sign it and send its scanned copy back to the International Office email. On the basis of signed Contract the Accountant office will bill you for the cost of your tuition (for a semester or a complete academic year). After receiving the confirmation of payment by email the International Office will apply for an invitation for you.
• Step5: Invitation Letter and Visa:- The Invitation which is necessary for you to receive the Russian visa, will be issued by the Amur Region Immigration Office within 20-30 days. You will receive the notification that the document is ready from the AmSU International Office.
• Step6: Arrival at Blagoveshchensk and Registration:- Send your Arrival information to AmSU International Office (at least 2 working days in advance). Within the first 2 days after entering the Russian Federation, a foreign student must come to the AmSU International Office in order to get migration registration in the RF.
