St. Paul University is located in Tuguegarao, Cagayan, Philippines. It is managed and run by Sisters of Saint Paul of Chartres, and is one of the 40 universities owed by them. It offers basic, graduate and professional teaching in different courses. St. Paul University was established in May 1907, is non-profit coeducation, Catholic research, basic and Higher Educational Institute. It has a motto of " love truth knowledge". The six nuns came to Cagayan Valley region upon the invitation of bishop Dennis Joseph Dougherty and established the institute as Colegio De San Pablo, which remained as such till 1909.

• In 1909 the name of the institution was changed to Colegio del Sagrado Corazon de Jesus.
• In 1925 the name was again changed to Sacred Heart of Jesus Institution.
• After the world war II the school changed its name to St. Paul College of Tuguegarao in 1948. This was an initiative to become the first teaching and training institute in the Cagayan Valley.

In 1961, the St. Paul College of Tuguegarao began offering college education and thus became the first Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities. The school became the first University in Cagayan Valley in 1982 Finally in 1982 the institution was named as St. Paul University, which is till date known by the same name.The school achieved accreditation from other institutions as TUV Rheinland. In 2014 it received Asian association of schools of business international St. Paul University Philippines has been dedicated to excellence and accomplishing spirituality. St. Paul University focuses on research work to attain quality and excellence through its research and educational services. The students are supported by well-trained staff and teachers to help them excel in studies and research field.
