Eligibility criteria for admission in Ibn Sina Medical College, Bangladesh:

• It is compulsory to qualify NEET to study MBBS in Ibn Sina Medical College.
• Every student either native or foreign has to appear in Dhaka University Entrance Exam to get admission in Ibn Sina Medical College.
• Qualification must in both IELTS and TOEFL.
• The student must be between 17 and 25 years old on or before the date on which the admission is being taken.
• The student must have qualified an examination like HS/’A level or any equivalent exam to become eligible for MBBS admission.
• The student should not have passed the Class 10th/ SSC/ ‘O’ level examination before 2017.
• The student should not have passed pass 12th/ HSC/ “O” Level examination before 2019.
• The minimum aggregate GPA that the student have to secure in Class 10th/ SSC/ ‘O’ level or equivalent examination is 7.
• The minimum GPA in SSC or any equivalent examination and HSC or equivalent examination is 3.5.
• The minimum GP that you need to secure in Biology of 12th level is 3.5.
• To calculate the GPA against the marks obtained in SSC/ O’ level examination or any equivalent examination, the top 5 marks in the subjects are calculated. Hence the GPA in ‘O’ level is - calculated as - total marks scored in all top 5 subjects divided by 5.
• To calculate the GPA against the marks obtained in HSC/ ‘A level examination or any equivalent examination, the top 3 marks in the subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) are calculated. Hence the GPA in ‘A’ level is calculated as Total marks in all top 3 subjects/ 3.

Process of admission in Ibn Sina Medical College:

• Getting into a medical college requires a lot of toiling. Though the academic criteria suffice but medical entrance exam is the road straight to MBBS in Ibn Sina Medical College. DGHS [Directorate General of Health Services] Bangladesh conduct this exam every year in October so it’s better to apply beforehand to avoid any inconvenience.
NOTE: Indian Students who have qualified NEET will be given priority for direct admission.
• First thing first, get all the documents needed i.e., 10th + 12th mark sheets + certificate + admit cards attested from Bangladesh High Commission, Delhi.
• Fill the application form the college official website in the month of September.
• Send the attested documents [original and copy] to the college, a necessity for acquisition.
• After receiving student’s application, the university will send a conformational offer letter for admission in Ibn Sina Medical College. There’d be no need to apply at the DGHS for a Equivalent Certificate after receiving the offer letter, just submit the mark sheets with all the documents at Bengal Deputy High Commission, Kolkata with a 60$ payment to get the DGHS approval.
• After that, the student will be issued a equivalency certificate in Bangladesh from DGHS and the confirmed admission letter from Ibn Sina Medical College.
  • Then submit the first year of admission fee to the college and apply for a student visa. The following documents are required for application: Class 10 & 12-Admit card, mark sheet & certificate.
